The three cantons of Rojava: Efrin, Kobane and Jazira formed together since November 2013 an autonomous region as a result of the sacrifices brought by the members of the people’s army of YPG and YPJ since July 2012. Its mere existence forms a danger for both Turkey and the West.
For Mr Erdogan it forms a danger because of his bad conscience about the Turks murdering from 1919 onwards the indigenous Kurds. He fears that Turkey along its whole southern border will be closed in by the independent, polyethnic inhabitants of Rojava: Kurds, Assyrians, Arabs, Aramaeans, Syriacs, Chechens and Armenians – Muslims, Christians and Yazidis who have decided that they want peacefully to live together in democratic autonomy and with freedom of religion. Members of all these ethnic groups, not just Kurds, are the soldiers of YPG and YPJ.
After the revolution in Rojava, for Mr Obama the political system of basic democracy, gender equality (in all official, governmental positions there is always both a female and male functionary), the public cause having priority above personal profit, form as many threats to the fake democratic systems upheld in the United States and European countries. The humanitarian basis of society in Rojava is not compatible with his ideas of global capitalism and economic output. So, in fact, the existence of Rojava forms a much bigger threat to the West than to Turkey after all….
From July 31 to August 15, I should have given an archaeological field course for the students of the Mezopotamija Akademija in Qamishli on a tapeh in between a base of the YPJ (Women’s Defense Units) and the airfield still occupied by Assad’s Arab Syrian Army, at a distance to each of, respectively, 300 metres and 800 metres. But I got an urgent mail from its director and my friend Laser Rodi that I should come later in the year, because there was some fighting with IS in the neighborhood, so that there was a risk that I couldn’t finish my course….
Please, European soldiers and teachers, keep coming to Rojava in order to postpone its fall!

Obamas Administration should realize that Russians, Chinese, Indians, Canadians, French and British are all Kurds Allies. It can no longer overlook mass murders or Human Rights violations committed by even its closest NATO Ally members. No favors! His admin has come under severe criticism for his double-standard policies.
And Mr. Obama also forgets that even American and Australian private soldiers fight in Rojava with the YPG and YPJ for its survival!
Stop asking for the governments to do something and call out to the people. Fact is, most people in the world have no idea what is going on, and in a democracy, that means the leaders won’t act until they have to or the people find out.
You want help? Ask the people of the world directly, and above all else, give us a damned mailing address. We don’t need the go-ahead from a governing body to do something, just a list of what’s needed and a mailing address.
