Yesterday’s mayhem in Iraq

News and Comment by KT:

Yesterday’s carnage in Iraq involved 40 bombings in 22 towns and cities, costing the lives of 104 people.

Once more Al-Qaida, that parasite on the people of Iraq, has proved that they are capable of derailing the country’s progress and development, just as much so as the corrupt Shia-dominated government.

Al-Qaida in Iraq issued a statement calling on the Sunni minority for support and urging attacks on all security officers, judges and lawyers.

Al Qaida and their terror machine in Iraq are exploiting the gap which exists at the heart of Nuri Maliki government which for the last several years has failed to develop real security and political stability for the whole country.

The Maliki government should resign and leave power as soon as possible – before the whole of Iraq descends into civil war.
