When Mandela Died

By Yasin Aziz:

When I heard Mandela died

The symbol of freedom, the light of Hope

has really subsided?

When I heard Nelson Mandela died

for his enormous soul I uncontrollably cried

That carried on and defied 27 years prison.

He came out with no blemish

To start afresh and he sought no rest,

to finish off the mission was not a surprise.

Mandela was a symbol like a huge monument that towered the world against fascism.

Mandela’s mission like a banner of hope to all mankind is always there for equality and freedom.
