Syrian Kurdish community in Britain – meeting about the current situation

Continuing Bloodbath in Syria

By Ibrahim Mustafa:

Time: 17:00 – 19:00

Date: Tues 6th September 2011

Venue: House of Commons, Committee Room 2, Westminster, London SW1A 0AA

In the name of the Syrian Kurdish community in Britain we cordially invite you to attend a meeting to discuss the current situation in Syria. As the death toll mounts daily and Asssad’s regime continues to massacre innocent Syrian civilians and protesters, the urgency of dialogue between all sectors of Syrian society and with the international community increases. We have called this meeting to bring together members of the Syrian communities in Britain with British politicians and representatives of non-governmental organisations to discuss the following issues:

  • the current position of the Syrian regime toward the Syrian opposition
  • international and regional circumstances, particularly the position of Turkey and that of the European Union
  • Kurdish rights in Syria
  • possible resolutions to the current crisis

The meeting will be hosted by Lord Nizar Ahmad.

We are looking forward to your attendance.

Kind Regards,

Ibrahim Mustafa
