Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) news centre representative ‘Roz Walat’ has told the Kurdish weekly Awena that PKK fighters are ready to respond firmly to any attacks and military operations by the Turkish state in the Qandil Valley region. This follows claims that Turkey is preparing another offensive in the area.
‘Roz Walat’ told Awena that the Turkish state began their military operations in the Qandil in 2008 but these have been unsuccessful and are doomed to failure. “PKK fighters are everywhere and they can respond at any time”, he said.
