July a bloodbath month in Iraq

Iraq nightmare continues

Iraq nightmare continues

Figures released by the Iraqi ministry of health and interior ministry show that the terror campaign of Al Qaeda and others caused the deaths of more than 1,000 people last month.

At least 778 ordinary civilians died in explosions and other violence.  In addition, 88 police officers, 55 soldiers and 68 terrorists died.  At least another 1,500 people were injured.

In recent years, during each Ramadam terrorist groups in Baghdad and southern Iraq launch a murderous campaign in the name of fighting infidels during the Holy month.

Some observers say Iraq could become another Syria, while the Nuri Maliki government has no apparent plan to end the violence and stabilise the country. Iraq these days is looking like an ungovernable country without effective leadership.
