Iraqi people suffer another day of mass murder

Bagdad bombing

KT News and Comment:

Today Baghdad endured yet more devastation, claiming around 64 lives.

There were four car bomb explosions in the north, south and east of the city and the assassination of a high ranking official working in the department for reform and justice.

Elsewhere in Iraq 14 people died in explosions in the cities of Bakoba and Kut, where a bomb blew up in the centre of the market.  In Mosul a police convoy was attacked by insurgents, killing one officer and injuring several others.

In Dywania, local police and intelligence forces managed to arrest two would-be suicide bombers on their way to the city centre where they planned to inflict terror on innocent people.

This is the deadly reality of daily live for poor Iraqi people. On top of corruption and poverty they have to worry constantly about their security.

It is further confirmation of the uselessness of the current Iraqi government which wastes the people’s money on projects which contribution nothing to their safety.

The Iraqi government looks fragile, whether observed from inside and outside the country. Until the entire government resigns or collapses, there will be no hope of any change to the current situation in the centre and south of Iraq.
