Kurdistan recruitment consultant advises: Modern life is not easy!

By Sayran Hadi:

I am a link between job seekers and employers in the Kurdistan Region. I receive hundreds of CVs every day and so many people want to change their job. They mostly want to join the oil sector…

Life is not easy nowadays, especially in a country like Kurdistan – where business is growing so fast and there are about 60 Oil and Gas companies operating, besides hundreds of international companies and many local ones.

Trying to get to the top, get a good salary and being employed in one of best companies is great! But we should all remember that real life is not as easy as the one in our fantasy world and we cannot have everything we want within a day or night or even with a year or years.

We have to make a plan for our career lives and do our best to reach our goals. It’s not about where do we work, how much we get, whom we work with or who appreciates what we do, It’s all about HOW DO WE FEEL ABOUT WHAT WE DO?  We should always be patient: after every dark night the sun shines and so, at the end of the way of our worries and hard work, SUCCESS is waiting for us.

Please act as professional as possible:

  • Don’t leave your work even for an hour without a permission
  • Don’t arrive late every day
  • Don’t change your job simply because another company pays you a little more
  • Try to enjoy every minute of your time
  • Adapt yourself with the work environment
  • Make friends and be good to all your co-workers
  • Help them, they will help you back
  • Never underestimate anyone’s work
  • BUT sometimes you need to say NO and defend your rights, know your limits and others’ limits too

Let us all respect our companies’ rules and help them to grow instead trying to join a bigger one, trust me it feels wonderful when you feel that you are a part of the family and a part of the development! And this way you’ll help your unemployed fellow citizens to get employed as well.

Thank you for suggestions and information. you provoked good issue among embryo countries, Kurdistan as a sample. But, unfortunately our mangers\workers\desk officers do not like their jobs every one of us work for money that’s why most of the time we are not success in our jobs\works we can not see the sun which rises. at the same time whom it may concern have to prepare & allocate the worker’s demands & facilities if not everything going to the drawing board. we need demonstrate the solution in stead of explain. I Hope to keep your good writing.

Thank you Zevar, but I disagree with you when you say “all everyone of us work for money” because there are many hidden solders in our society, they work really hard and want to make a change in the society, though they are few.

”Kurdistan is a country or a region?” . To answer your query , at present it is a fiefdom ! The future is neither certain nor predictable .

Great Article .. I agree that people should value their work, it is easy to get a job in Kurdistan but believe me it is not the same abroad. It is really hard to find a job in Europe, and people have to work really hard to keep their carrier. I suggest that employees should try to develop their selves instead of complaining about their current jobs, Once you develop and become professional money comes easier ..

I do not agree on what you are saying at all. Nowadays it is so hard to find a job through recruitment seekers like you here. If you have friends working they hook you up with the best offices, otherwise no one will look at your degree of experience. What you do is just looking for your own benefit. Above that, the companies are not even interested in their employees here, cause the CEO are not well known with the work environment themselves. That is the reason why we have uneducated expiatory here.
