Hoshyar Zebari
Iraqi foreign minister Hoshyar Zebari told the French newspaper Le Monde on Monday that: “ I am a Kurdish minister, in an Arab state. We do not have any objection to be within Iraq but will be more proud to have our own state, which I hope can be achieved shortly. The Kurds are the second largest nation in the Middle East after the Arabs, and it is our right to have an independent state”. Zebari added: “The KRG is capable of separating from Iraq, but at this stage international pressure will not allow this”.
This statement comes from one of the most powerful of KDP figures who is closely allied to the Barzani leadership. For the last two years the KDP has been vocal, locally and internationally, in campaigning for a Kurdish state.
Last March, during Nawroz, the Kurdish new year, some observers were expecting Masoud Barzani to declare a Kurdish state, but this did not happen for some political reasons.
The KDP’s partner in government, the PUK, has objected to talk of independence, to the extent that PUK leader Jalal Talabani has dismissed the idea of a Kurdish state as a “poetic dream”.

And also a cover up for the infamous and outrageous national security council set up by his senior boss Masood , and run by his minor boss Mansoor . Shame on them .
