Iran, according to US President Carter in 1977, was “an island of stability in one of the more troubled areas of the world”. But it became a centre of murder and destruction just two years later. The Ayatollahs came to power in 1979 and established the Islamic state which soon developed into the most fearful Islamic police state in the Islamic world. For the last 36 years, Iran has been a totalitarian fascistic state and turned into a graveyard for its own people. This fascistic Islamic apparatus has also interfered in neighboring countries and parts of Africa. Religious sectarianism and Shia expansionism have been the policy of the Iranian Islamic state, having a devastating impact on an already dangerously conflicted region.
The peoples of Iran who revolted against the Shah of Iran were from different ideologies and beliefs. There were communists, socialists, democrats and liberals, and of course various religious groups, not just Shia.
Due to its freedom-loving, secularistic culture and progressive nature, Rojhelat/Iranian Kurdistan became a hotbed and a home for all kinds of political parties and different ideologies, not just for Kurds, but also for all the Iranians. Sadly though, these different groups and political parties and branches gradually atrophied. After many years of the Shah’s brutality and dictatorship, almost all kinds of political thinking suffered an infantile disorder.
The Tudeh, the Communist Party of Iran, ultra loyal to Moscow, got into an unholy marriage with the Hezbollah and became Ayatollah Khomeini’s extended arm. At the same time, almost all the others — from different kinds of religious groups, to the liberals, conservatives and varieties of socialists and communists — were too busy with short-term ideological differences to pursure their long-term political ambitions and goals.
As a result, the warm, revolutionary, friendly and ambitious political thinking of the past turned into mere well-meaning efforts. And soon the revolutionary laughter, bright smiles, and cheerful faces faded away as though they’d never existed.
Iran became a militarized territory for Islamic fascism. There was a war with Iraq, and a war against the national liberation movements of Kurds, Arabs and Baluches, and a civil war against every single progressive man and woman. Iran became a totalitarian Islamic dictatorship in just a couple of years.
The Islamic state of Iran was an evil state from the very start. This Islamic fascism soon became a killing machine, destroying the political tolerance, the social relations, the multicultural music and culture and the hopes of the masses for a better Iran without the Shah. The Iranian dream of freedom and liberty was shattered into pieces.
Iranian Kurdistan, or rather Rojhelat, started to bleed because it was the center of the Kurd and Iranian rebellion. The cities of Meriwan, Sine (Sennandaj), Saqiz and Mehabad were destroyed by direct order of the Ayatollah Khomeini. The man who implemented the destruction and the executions was Mustafa Chamran, one of the most barbaric fascistic figures along with Khalkhali, Talaqani, Bahashti, Hassani, etc.
The latest wave of political executions — of the Kurdish political prisoner, Behrouz Alkhani, and five others — is just a continuation of this fascistic mentality.
Behrouz Alkhani was 30 years old and he had been in prison for the past 5 years. The Iranian regime has refused to return his body to his family. This not the first time. The Islamic state has a tradition of refusing to return the bodies of executed political prisoners. The regime thus punishes the whole people in a parallel collective-punishment. The absence of fair trials and disrespect for human rights and hatred of political pluralism are characteristic of the Iranian Islamic regime.
Under President Hassan Rouhani’s mandate things have got worse. In the first eight months of 2015 there have been at least 700 executions, including those of political prisoners. Unfortunately, many politician in the Western democracies see Hassan Rouhani as a reform-minded and peace-loving president. This despite Iran’s threats against Israel, which are at the same level as previously. For instance, Hossein Sheikholeslam, an adviser to the Iran Parliament Speaker, has said that, “Our positions against the usurper Zionist regime have not changed at all; Israel should be annihilated and this is our ultimate slogan”. Fuad Mustafa Sultani, a much loved, charismatic leader, also known as Kak Fuad, was assassinated by Mustafa Chamran and his army in a planned military operation near the village Basam in Rojhelat, 36 years ago on 31st of August 1979.
Kak Fuad had served four years as a political prisoner under the Shah. He and his prison mates are renowned for their 24 day prison hunger-strike and Kak Fuad is remembered for his ability to organize, lead and plan. Just 6 days prior to his assassination, the Iranian Islamic state executed two of his brothers, Hussien and Amin. That family lost three beloved sons in just one week.
Two years later, the family of Mustafa Sultani lost two more sons, Amjad and Majid, on July 1981. They were also political prisoners. Their bodies underwent the same fate as thousands of others, among them the body of Behrouz Alkhani. In many cases, as was the case in Iraq, the families were forced to pay for the bullets used to kill their beloveds or they had to pay for the “administration expenses” of the executions.
Before the assassination of Kak Fuad, the Iranian Islamic state were already committing crimes against the Kurdish people and other Iranians. Between the murders of Kak Fuad in August 1979 and Behrouz Alkhani in August 2015, there have been 36 years of Islamic brutality and Islamic fascism against the Kurdish people in Iran. There have been tens of thousands of executions, assassinations and disappearances of Kurdish political and democratic activists. Of course, similar crimes have also been committed, and are still being commited, against the other peoples of Iran.
At the same time, the semi-legalized prostitution, state-organized trafficking of drugs, child and woman abuse, and other criminality are getting worse in Iran, in a manner never witnessed before.
The Kurdistan cry for freedom and liberty in Iran must not be ignored and left without an answer. In the memory of Kak Fuad — who worked for peace, equality, democracy and liberty — and of tens of thousands of others, such as Behrouz Alkhani, plant a rose and support the Kurdish and the Iranian people for freedom!

The death of these two Kurdish freedom fighters is saddening and tragic .The crime committed by the violator of human rights in Iran against these Kurdish men is appalling and barbarian.
People who have no conscience, who are backward ,who are greedy,arrogant,irresponsible,egocentric, ambitious for power, wealth and fame and name, yet have no sense of humanity, and respect for others, would choose to assassinate and hang free democratic voices like kak Fuad and Behrouz.However,the basis for oppression ,dictatorship and human right abuse of Iranian regime can be found in the Iranian constitution.
The whole political structure of Iran is based on the interpretation of the Fekeh of Shia Imam of Islam. That is why every political activity that promotes other religious beliefs or confessions than Shisem, such secularisim, liberalism, or as religious belief such as Bahai, Jewish, Christians or Sunnis, is regarded as a rejection of Shia-Islam and hence is punished as a crime by Iranian Laws.
The revolutionary guards, judges and attorneys of the revolutionary court of Iran often justify their sentences and killing of Kurds or any other Iranian opposition groups by claiming that those people who act contrary to the laws of Iran is regarded a threat to the national security.
In general, the problem with human right abuse is usually created by power holders. When the power holders abuse their power and exercise unlimited authority, beyond the boundaries of law principles and democratic values.
The violation of human rights is carried out by people whom have backward, dictatorial mentality, people who have no conscience, people who are greedy, arrogant, irresponsible, egocentric, and ambitious for power, wealth and fame and name, yet have no sense of humanity, and respect for others.
It also happens because of the ideological clashes ,rivalry and differences as each side tries to impose their own agendas and ideologies and also gain more power over the ones who are different than you, for more wealth, and yet for the fear of being dominated and enslaved by your political opponents and opposition.
The formation and implementation of a democratic constitution and the creation of a democratic parliamentary system, and an independent judiciary system can be the best single solution to bring about rights, justice, and a peaceful coexistence of all people from different ethnicities, religions and back ground including Kurds.
