KT News and Comment:

Sources close to the Gorran leadership have spoken to KT about the party’s disappointment with last week’s meeting between the leaders of the ruling KDP and PUK and Gorran head Nawshirwan Mustafa.  They say the Gorran leadership believes the ruling parties are “buying time and wasting time and not making actual reforms”.

It was “meeting for the sake of meeting” a source told us, noting that no one from the PUK or KDP delegation had bothered to go to the press conference afterwards and answer questions from the media.

The Gorran leadership believe all hopes for real reform have been dashed and the two ruling parties are wasting time because the general election is looming and they want to enhance their public image.
